"A long life is worth it only if it is a good one!"
Hi, I’m Dr. Wasim Mohideen, but most people know me as Doc Waz.
I believe that your health goals—whether it’s more energy, fewer pills, better sleep, or simply not dying anytime soon—deserve more than quick fixes and generic advice. That’s why I’ve spent the last decade building a practice that combines medical science, lifestyle wisdom, and cutting-edge tech to create something personal, powerful, and actually doable.

The Story!
My journey began in 2010, when I founded Basil, one of India’s early centers focused on preventive and wellness medicine. Long before gut health became a buzzword and dashboards became trendy, Basil offered personalized risk assessments, helped people reverse lifestyle diseases, quit smoking, and regain control over their health.
We integrated tools like Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) back then—not as fancy add-ons, but as core parts of how we supported recovery, healing, and long-term vitality.
In 2016, we added genetic testing to the mix, bringing in true personalization to prevention. By 2022, gut microbiome testing became part of every detailed workup, giving us a deeper lens into inflammation, metabolism, immunity, and even mood. And then we moved into integrating device-based metrics—from wearables that track HRV and sleep quality to continuous glucose monitors—into your care plan, giving you real-time insights and actionable steps, not just advice.
But here's a scoop - I also wrote about food for a decade. Started off with reviews and then over the years moved to something more meaningful where I explored the world to study food cultures and their impact on health, pleasure and longevity. I've been to and eaten food in all six continents! This gave me a two sided view - one from science and one from people. This is what led me to believe that good life is not a part of longevity, but it is what makes longevity worth it.
And that is how my life then blended. With all my learnings, from years of studying medicine, people and cultures, I guide you through life, one that is both healthy and worthwhile.
